Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Review of data lake change requests ensuring that they are technically sound.
• Design and implement standardisation across the data lake.
• Working with the architecture team to define the strategy for evolving the data lake and including advising on architectural decisions aligned with the platform architecture.
• Defining the technologies to be used on the “Cloud Platform” and investigating new technologies to identify where they can bring benefits such as automated reporting and improved data security
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• Expertise in public cloud PaaS, CaaS and IaaS tools and environments, particularly with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Demonstrable knowledge and expertise in Jenkins, GitHub, GoCD, Nexus or equivalent CI/CD tools
• Experience working with Google Cloud Build, Kubernetes, Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Data Flow , Big Query , Big Data .
• Experience working with Terraform and a common scripting language (Bash, Python, Groovy etc)
• Experience with common SDLC, including build tools, unit testing, continuous delivery and agile practises
• Experience working with Secret provisioning (Vault), data encryption and data pseudonymisation (AEAD).
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• GCP certifications would be advantageous

Key performance indicators:
• Delivered timely review of data lake change request with clear justification
• Deployment of changes to data lake configuration to improve cost allocation, monitoring, data security and integration to corporate tools for UAM etc.
