Role & Responsibilities:
● Designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions to enable the client make data- driven business decisions
● Work with business users and other stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements
● Design, build and deploy BI solutions using PowerBI
● Presenting information through reports and visualization
● Provide research, high-level design and estimates for data transformation and data integration from source applications to end-user BI solutions
● Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
● Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
● Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
● SSRS Integration to Power BI
● Data Gateway for data refreshing, content pack library
● Publishing reports to app.powerbi.com and setting up the necessary connection details and scheduling
● Connecting Microsoft Power BI Desktop to various data sources
● Creating Custom Visuals and Groups Creation and managing Embed Codes
● Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies with technology solutions
● Identify development needs in order to improve and streamline operations through automation
Required Skills:
● 5+ years of experience in Data Visualization/Business Intelligence
● Proficient in using Power BI
● Exposure to Qlikview is a plus.
● Exposure to the insurance industry is desirable
● In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL(Extract, transform, load) framework, data-warehousing
● Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a must
● Knowledge of AWS data lake is a plus.
● Highly proficient in working with large volumes of business data and strong understanding of database design and implementation.
● Good experience in performance tuning of BI reports and dashboards. Solid experience in complex SQL logic.
● Should have strong concepts on building Security around the entire Datawarehouse
● Implementation of Row Level Security by defining various constraints for each role.
● Expert knowledge using advanced calculations using MS Power BI Desktop (Aggregate, Date, Logical, String, Table)
● Good at creating different visualizations using Slicers, Lines, Pies, Histograms, Maps, Scatter, Bullets, Heat Maps, Tree maps, etc
● Sound knowledge of DAX data types, DAX query, parameters for standard time intelligence functions and implementing hierarchies, Bookmarks, drill-down, drill through features, dynamic filtering, parameter naming, creating calculated measures and columns
● Knowledge of Power Query M code is a plus
● Team leading experience is a plus
● Exceptional interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
