Responsibilities
- Design solutions for optimizing analyses of entities, telemetry and behavioral data and advance state-of-the-art of threat detection and protection.
- Create actionable insights from analysis to drive develop durable detection & prevention strategies across the entire kill-chain, highlight protection gaps and drive product improvements.
- Independently works to create product impact. Identifies approach and applies, improves, or creates new data science models to positively impact a Microsoft product or service.
- Work with internal and external teams to forge new and improve existing partnerships that help mature the product and derive better insights
- Condense findings and communicate these verbally and in writing to researchers, developers and engineers through Data Visualizations and Infographics conveying clear, concise and powerful messages.
Qualifications
Qualifications - Required:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field OR equivalent industry experience
- Experience with data analysis involving statistical software tools, Big Data systems, Data Pipelines and Reporting (8+ years)
- Python / C# experience (8+ years)
- Experience with Azure/AWS/GCP (3+ years)
Good to have:
- Industry experience in the cybersecurity area (5+ years)
- Experience with Generative AI / LLMs / NLP (1+ years) Prompt Engineering (1+ year)
