Specific responsibilities include:
- Regulatory Reporting: Conduct detailed analysis on payments, fraud, and disputes to provide reporting and insights to local regulators
- Risk KPIs: Build and monitor Risk KPIs to assess fraud performance (payment volume, fraud trends, dispute trends), identify new fraud trends, and find mitigation opportunities
- Emerging Payment Threats: Understand and identify emerging payment threats (e.g., enumeration, crypto payment fraud) that impact Visa’s global payment ecosystem. Develop business logic to capture these threats and quantify their impacts on Visa and its clients (issuing banks, acquirers, processors, and merchants)
- Client Engagement: Provide data and insights for quarterly risk client meetings and forums (security summit, Risk Executive Councils, working groups, etc.). Engage with Visa’s top clients (issuers, acquirers, merchants) to improve their overall payment success holistically (including approval, fraud, dispute, etc.) with actionable recommendations through the development of innovative tools.
- Ad Hoc Data Analysis: Support Visa’s business in Risk solutions with ad hoc data analysis, including breakdowns by jurisdiction, payment type, payment channel, payment workflow, and payment and fraud metrics
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Ensure data-driven decision making is a priority for clients, colleagues, and other internal and external stakeholders. Craft meaningful presentations and insights from complex data, clearly presenting opportunities in an accurate, understandable, and engaging manner to executives. Serve as a strategic advisor to organizational leadership and peers – inclusive of Risk MIS team, Regional Risk Officers, Functional/Global leaders and the Regional President.
- Analytical Tools: Develop both retrospective and predictive analytical tools (executive dashboards, client-facing dashboards, real-time alerts, models, etc.) to combat major payment threats for Visa and its clients
- Be an expert at getting to the root of a problem, defining business objectives and formalizing data requirements – especially in a fast paced, fluid environment

Basic Qualifications:
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
•7 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree (quantitative field preferred) or 8 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (quantitative or business degree highly desirable).
o5+ years of progressive success in roles of increasing responsibility.
o3+ years working in analytics, risk, management consulting, strategic operations or insight delivery.
•Proven experience in risk analytics, strategic advisory roles, and AI integration.
•Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
•Ability to identify and leverage market trends for strategic advantage.
•Knowledge of Visa’s products, services, and client engagement strategies.
•Proficiency in data analysis and utilization of various data environments and tools.
•High-level understanding of manipulating data from a variety of sources.
•Big data experience (Hadoop, Hive, Spark), data visualization experience (Tableau, Power BI) and/or SQL experience are critical skills – this role is about both doing and delivering.
•Strong verbal, written, motivational and interpersonal skills are required.
