What You’ll Do:
As a Senior Data Scientist at Urban Company, you will hold a critical role in elevating our data-driven capabilities and influencing the direction of our product development and business strategies. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
- Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality. Designing and overseeing complex experiments to evaluate the impact of our team's work on the business.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, business teams, and marketing, to implement models and monitor outcomes
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
- Taking the lead in quantifying the business impact of potential projects and identifying significant opportunities for growth.
- Developing and implementing advanced machine learning models to address complex problems, such as inventory planning, matchmaking and recoveries.
- Presenting your findings, insights, and data-driven recommendations to senior management, influencing strategic decision-making at the highest level.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to the data science team, helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Requirements:
BS/MS in Statistics, Math, Computer Science, or related field.
We're looking for someone with 3-6 years of experience with following expertise:
- Knowledge and experience in ML techniques - GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, Neural Networks, Deep Learning.
- Experience with languages - Python, PySpark, Tensorflow, Pytorch
- Experience in Generative AI production application
- Excellent SQL skills and the ability to use tools such as Python, R, Excel, or Tableau to work efficiently at scale with large data sets
- Advanced knowledge of statistics and design of experiments and analysis
- Experience with Cloud computing tools - Sagemaker
- Experience with Model Deployment Frameworks - Flask, Gunicorn
Self-driven with the ability to work in a self-guided manner
Superb communication and organization skills.
