Data Analyst II

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Accountable for learning third-party applications, internal reporting, system and business processes, rules, and logic, as well as developing knowledge of system data architecture
2. Work directly with the business to gather detailed business requirements and apply sound technical solutions to build and test functional specifications, and implement and maintain reporting and functionality
3. Provide timely, personal, and efficient responses to user problems and inquiries
4. Work within an agile product team to develop user stories and tasks for the analyst's workstream
5. Design & execute solutions that drive integration and connected data opportunities
6. Own delivery: Ensure product development through completion (incl. Address, prioritize, and fix bugs (QA), ensuring acceptance criteria is met and promotion to production)
7. Serve as the day-to-day contact for the team on clarification of requirements and drive user stories
8. Apply Agile Methodology to deploy change requirements via preferred methods, accounting for priorities, time, and resources

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education – Full-time graduation from an accredited university
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in Data Analysis and Analytics role
3. Demonstrated ability to analyze and support systems, as well as partner with the technical team to design and implement solutions
4. Experience gathering and documenting technical business requirements
5. Experience with building vendor relationships and vendor management
6. Ability to perform root cause analysis and identify problem trends
7. Strong experience in exploring and analysing large data sets using Excel and SQL to understand patterns, structures, and definitions
8. Hands-on experience working with SQL
9. Strong understanding and implementation of Agile methodology
10. Strong communication skills- verbal and written, with the ability to present complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story
11. Excellent problem solver with the ability to lead the team to push the solution and progress
12. Self-managing, results-oriented, and capable of leading multiple initiatives simultaneously through rigorous prioritization
13. Technologies – BigQuery - Google Cloud Platform, ETL

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Strong organizational, interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills (written and oral)
2. Efficient time management skills with the ability to act independently and prioritize across multiple deliverables
3. Exposure to commercial data sources
4. Agile Scrum master certification
5. Understanding of Point of Sale, Syndicated, and Consumer Data
6. Vendor management experience
